To track down certain problems (Squish IDE hangs or shows errors, for example) the verbose logging of the Squish IDE itself should be enabled and the resulting verbose logs be sent to Squish technical support.
To enable the verbose Squish IDE logging open the preferences dialog:
Then open the preferences page Squish > Logging and check the radio button Verbose and check Enable Logging Internal Tool Communication:
At this point you should try to reproduce the problem. Once reproduced send the following files to Squish technical support:
On Unix:
$HOME/.squish/workspace-ver-4/.metadata/.log
$HOME/.squish/squishlibrary0.log.0
On Windows:
%APPDATA%\froglogic\Squish\workspace-ver-4/.metadata/.log
%APPDATA%\froglogic\Squish\squishlibrary0.log.0
